Whether you sail or whether you simply wished that you could sail, this book is either an instruction on the right way to do things during a voyage or a travelogue for armchair sailors on interesting parts of the world. Of particular interest to me was the glossary, which defined many things hitherto unknown - also descriptions of local customs and ways of life in parts of the world that most of us are never going to see.
