Driven To The Past: Memories of 60-plus years in motorsports Review

This is one of the more enjoyable racing books I have read in awhile. The author put together a great collection of short stories and anecdotes accumulated during his long career as a race fan, ARCA & ASA official, flagman, and PR staffer. A great deal of his anecdotes involve personal interactions and quite a few moments of comedy which shows the human side of the sport.
There are a ton of books about NASCAR, but very little about short track racing. I especially enjoyed it because the author spent most of his time in the Great Lakes states and Midwest, so I was familiar with many of the drivers, and tracks that were the subjects of his personal anecdotes. This type of book flows very well because you can pick it up and read a few stories when you have time, and later pick right up where you left off.
Highly recommended!
