read many reviews where older vehicles with higher mileage benefit with the outboard marine oil in a 1:5 mixture (1 oz : 5 gallons). Supposed to help your engine run smoother, better gas mileage (not a huge difference).

Marine Formula Sta - Bil Review

I have recently started using the new Stabil Marine formula instead of their regular (red) product. I can report that the Marine (green) works as well as the red but don't know how to tell that its better. This stuff is the real deal when it comes to gas stabilization. I don't think there is a better product on the market for this purpose. These products have saved me and many others untold grief dealing with sludged fuel and varnished carburetors. I add it to my non-auto fuel at the gas station which mixes it well and prevents me from putting non-treated gas in any of my motors. You never know when some toy or piece of equipment is going to sit for a while and it sure is nice when they start right up. If anyone knows how to rate the red vs green product I am sure all of us would like to hear about it. The green cost more but could be worth it.

I have used product before for keeping carbs clean in my boat outboard engine and my waverunner. This is THE BEST product for this purpose but is a little pricey. I have been buying at auto parts stores and saved a lot of money (1/2 the cost) buying multiple cans from amazon.
