Passtrak Property and Casualty Insurance: License Exam Manual (Passtrak (Unnumbered)) Review

This (General Lines) book proves more comprehensive than the Personal Lines version of the same exam. That means this is the one you want to use to take the big boy test like I did. The Personal Lines version PASSTRAK Property and Casualty Personal Lines Insurance License Exam Manual would be good for the personal lines test, but I seen no reason why anyone wouldn't just take the test that allows them to write everything without having to test again.
I borrowed the 6th Edition of this book from the library and found it to be even more comprehensive than the latest Property and Casualty Insurance License Exam Cram which I also reviewed for the test. At first I was measuring how much was covered in this Dearborn Passtrak Manual and when I reviewed questions from Exam Cram I felt better about how I did and my ability to answer questions caused me to feel quite prepared. When I went back to review questions from this Dearborn PassTrak, I was reminded how much more comprehensive it is.
All in all, for any shortcomings of this Dearborn Passtrak book has tougher questions and more of them so I found it to offer the best preparation among the material I reviewed. I was able to pass the TEXAS exam the first time.
Study well.
And prepare for a great harvest.
These are among some anomolies I found however:
pg65-(Cancelation) is spelled differently than how dictionaries I have seen.
- one is left to wonder what time limits are set by law here but that will perhaps vary by state.
pg68-To say that the insured must "pay for" vs. must "account for" begs the question whether the insured has the option to absorb a partial loss in this matter.
pg77-(#22)vicarious liability not in definitions or index so you are tested on matter the book has not introduced until afterward on page 86.
pg110-(#19)Answer missing and reasoning incomplete.
pg120-The word "in" is missing in 4th sentence of next to last paragraph: "Although few of the policies contained exclusions for these types of losses, coverage clearly was not contemplated either the contract language or coverage..."
pg191-Unclear on meaning of "threshold is verbal" in 2nd paragraph.
pg284-Unclear how Protection and Indemnity (P&I) insurance provides workers' compensation for vessel's crew.
