This book is a must read for any elite or would be elite rower.If you follow the principles in this book of being a good GDR boy or girl...you're bound to improve your rowing immeasurably.
It covers pretty much everything from physiology, to boat construction, to history, to training diary ideas and even Socialist principles of the elite German Socialist rower...
The only thing this doesn't include is a 'how to' guide to implement the East German doping technique which they all pretty much used through the 70s and 80s! ;-)
Otherwise, a great read...not for the beginner or recreational rower though, unless you're very keen.
